Who we are

Golf has been a part of my life since I was three years old. Driven by a passion for improvement, I studied the game extensively and trained under multiple instructors, including a long-term mentorship with a Head Golf Professional who later hired me as his Assistant Head Professional.

My career has spanned all areas of the golf industry, from instruction and coaching to equipment fitting as a Head Golf Technician at Dick’s Sporting Goods, as well as golf course operations as an Assistant Superintendent.

With experience in every facet of the game, I am now focused on bringing together technology, instruction, and a player-first approach as the new owner of Teed Off in Brookings, SD, helping golfers improve with confidence and precision.

I (Nick Picek) currently live in Brookings with my wife, Maria, and my 1-year-old son Bruin.
